Eighty guests

Old Truman Brewery, Brick lane, London

To transform the empty white walled warehouse space of the Truman Brewery and create an intimate space for eighty guests to enjoy a drink and a dance after work as part of an annual celebration.

The white walls were crying out to be projected onto, so armed with five projectors we set to work to transform the warehouse space into one big visual canvas.

Penguins provided the full event management and production – including, lighting, sound, furniture and styling.

The event was run over a number of levels. As guests arrived they were taken up to the top level to take part in a number of challenges and activities. All of the activities were filmed and a quick edit was made so that guests could see themselves as they arrived down stairs for drinking, eating and dancing.

The video edit of the activities and challenges was combined with pictures from the digital party photographer and projected with the music DVD’s mixed by the visualdj throughout the night. The client was then given all of the footage taken on the evening for uploading onto their intranet (after some careful censorship).
