The Mirror Ball 800 guests The Ballroom, Hilton on Park Lane To provide an elegant and sophisicated 70's styled black tie event loosely themed around the glitz and glamour of a mirror ball . Penguins provided the full event management and production – including full audiovisual set-up, lighting and special effects and theme incorporating the use of over one hundred mirror balls. We installed a twenty four metre starcloth backdrop with two large projection screens positioned left and right of the main stage for the visualdj system. We used two camera's for live relay onto the screens throughout the evening for all of the main stage and dancefloor entertainment. The eight hundred guests filled the Ballroom so the screens were perfect for improving sightlines during the awards, dancers and live music. During dinner guests were invited to make their own music videos using DANCEHEADS. Each guest received a copy of their music video on DVD. Each DVD would then be played on the screens during dinner on the visualdj system to keep the rest of the guests entertained. The visualdj's alternated with the 70's tribute band SO 70's with a 70's party set together with themed visuals and digital party photography pictures. We provided a 70's inspired chill-out lounge consisiting of Six additional Plasma screens all showing various lava lamp effect visuals creating a calmer atmosphere. |
